The year 2007 marked the 100th anniversary of Ashland Community Hospital. Founded in 1907 in a Victorian house on East Main Street in the heart of downtown Ashland, our hospital has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and the changing demands of healthcare. Ashland Community Hospital exists today as an independent, non-profit community hospital providing a wide range of primary and specialty services to the residents of Ashland and surrounding communities in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
At Ashland Community Hospital we take pride in our history of service to our community. We also take pride in our growth and develop-ment. Through careful planning, the prudent use of resources and insightful vision our hospital has grown to provide an increasing variety of services. We have worked diligently to expand our medical staff and have available many specialties not generally associated with a hospital of our size. We have invested significantly in facilities, equipment and technology to meet the ever-increasing demands of modern medicine.
We are also proud to be part of the Planetree model of patient-centered care. Founded in 1978, Planetree is a non-profit organization that promotes new models of care that personalize, humanize and demystify the healthcare experience. Our emphasis on facilities and technology has not lessened our belief that healthcare is still very much about the people we serve.
